Welcome Summer; Bring It!

Hello to All! Who doesn’t love summer?! We’re ready to kick it off with Father’s Day and BBQ. I’m a father of two great girls, who next to my wife are the most precious gifts I’ve ever received. A while back I wrote a little nod to my own dad, about pride and connection. My dad felt so much love for us, and I mirror that in my own children. It’s the most important job I have and I love it. The next most important job I have and love is being Grounded. Hospitality and leading a team of excellent humans is an action of pure joy for me. I come to work having fun. That’s very lucky for me....

Happy Easter

Hello Grounded Nation; It's one of the most special holiday times for me. I love Easter, the pastel colours, the air of spring and The Ten Commandments on TV! It is the start of a new season in more ways than one, and always a great time for me and my family reset. I lost absolutely everything my parents ever worked for.  I’m hard pressed to even find a photograph of him to post. That was then, this...

Happy New Year!

Happy New Year my friends!  I'd like to start this letter by sharing this story about 2000-year-old food stand found in Pompeii, Italy. The concept of feeding people has been around for so long; it has endured so many evolutions and challenges. Throughout it all, the desire to nourish people has remained a staple in society. That will always live on! If this year has proven anything, it is that nothing is constant, but that survival is possible…especially with a positive attitude, an open mind, a strong team, and a commitment to a slow-and-steady approach for a sustainable future. There’s no question that 2020 has been hard. But over the past ten years, we experienced all kinds of hardships and we’ve come out stronger....

Thanks for your support!

Dear Friends; Our industry has prevailed some tough times in the past, but this one is for the ages. That said, I want to reassure all who love Grounded that loyalty, passion, and good vibes continue to breathe life into our place. We're not quitting; we are going to remain optimistic and strive for more inspiration and motivation from our great city and community. You are what keeps us going. With the constantly changing landscape, we’re more grateful than ever for our loyal customers, our team that has become family, and the opportunity to keep doing what we love. There are opportunities to grow and flex the imagination now more than ever… so I am writing this letter to say thanks and to share what we...
